I started with BCR in 2009 it was appealing as it allowed me to move from a single function processing role to acquiring a broader range of skills and a solid grounding in all aspects of freight forwarding.
BCR has a particularly strong family culture. The friendships I have made will be life long and I consider myself lucky to continue to work in an organization that focuses on providing quality service and innovative solutions
Being a part of the team at BCR has given me the opportunity to continually develop through consistent mentoring and support.
I have transitioned from Corporate account manager through to a customer service role and currently National Busines Development Manager based in Melbourne.
My professional aim has been to work with other passionate people that provide quality service in the freight forwarding and logistics industry and by nurturing valuable friendships both within BCR and within the network, it has enabled me to achieve this goal.
My time at BCR has helped me understand what quality customer service truly means.
I started at BCR Brisbane in September 2014 as a member of our warehouse team where my knowledge of Freight Forwarding & Logistics grew dramatically.
I was given the opportunity to further my knowledge and was offered the position of 3PL Customer Service Specialist. A little apprehensive at first as I could not see in me what my peers saw however it is safe to say I have never looked back.
I feel very fortunate to work alongside some of the most professional & skillful in our industry. I am also very fortunate for the opportunities BCR have given and continue to give me towards both my personal and career growth and for supporting me all the way. A natural communicator I also have the ability to pay it forward to our ever growing team here at BCR.
My focus on Customer service excellence also continues to grow and has been very rewarding thus far.
Born in South Africa and moved to Australia in 1999 with my husband and two daughters.
Seeking a new and better life in Australia, my first years in Australia saw me taking care of my girls, and getting them settled into a new way of life.
Working casually at the Sydney Girls High canteen, Australian Defence Force, TNT Australia Shipping and Canadian Embassy to build up work experience.
Fortunate enough to be interviewed at BCR by Tony Larkin and Andrew Crawford in 2002 and the rest is history.
In this year 2020 still being part of the BCR Family enjoying every moment with the best team ever. Now I work part time that fits in well with my work life balance.
My daughters are both successful scientists, and I remain and thankful for the opportunities given to me by BCR Australia.
